The new insulation for exterior façades
For contractors, construction companies, housing corporations, project developers, government institutions and construction materials manufacturers; achieving a good level of energy performance has become an important consideration. Thermal insulation is the key element in the energy question. Many homes were built without insulation, now the housing stock needs updated - and we know this.
The technique of External Wall Insulation Systems with the use of brick slips is increasingly used in refurbishments and new-builds. Brick slips glued onto a layer of insulation material provide a perfect façade finish. Recent changes to building regulations in many countries, require homes to achieve an A-Rating by 2020. EasylationWall® has been fully equipped to meet this. In fact, we are able to achieve even greater energy efficiency because we can apply to 30 cm insulation thickness. For example, using a 140 mm insulation board onto a cavity wall construction and a brick slip - we achieve a U-value of 0.2 W/m²K. However, using a 200 mm insulation board we can achieve a U-value of 0.16 W/m²K. Ultimately, utilising a 300 mm insulation board - a U-value of 0.11 W/m²K is achievable.
Our insulation materials are made of extruded polystyrene hard foam. The high density insulation boards have a high thermal resistance and excellent impact resistance, delivering extremely durable end results. Due to the sealed cell structure, our system is damp proof and offers many unique characteristics. EasylationWall® is therefore the perfect solution to challenges in the areas of design and insulation.
Each External Wall Insulation project differs, having unique objectives and requirements. For this reason, we supply a specific insulation solution of extruded polystyrene (XPS), providing a suitable insulation system for every application requirement.

When a façade is refurbished, a new brick wall is usually placed in front of the old façade. Depending on the local planning conditions the existing brick façade may have to be entirely replaced like-for-like, keeping the new façade consistent with the old. Alternatively, a more efficient solution is to use EasylationWall®. EasylationWall® is the external wall insulation system with a brick slip finish, resulting in improved thermal performance of the building and a stunning façade finish, in keeping with the area.
A brick slip is created by sawing a shell of about 22 mm thickness off a complete whole brick. This is possible with almost any type of brick – clay fired brick, concrete brick and calcium silicate brick. In addition to flat slips, corner slips (L-shaped) and half bricks can also be sawn.
Our system can be applied externally or internally on any dry, flat, and stable substrate. The substrate must be clean – completely free of dust and grease. Our frost-resistant adhesive provided with the system - must be utilised. It’s of utmost importance to carefully follow our adhesive application instructions as the correct application warrants our 10 year guarantee.
EasylationWall® can be the perfect partner for off-site construction building systems. The system can be installed as a panel onto the prefabricated building elements, serving as an exterior wall. A perfect example of this is with our partnership with FM Bouw, where EasylationWall® is fixed to their prefabricated steel frame construction. The advantage is that work continues regardless of adverse weather and the work process is not affected as the prefab elements can be quickly assembled on site.
